How to install and configure the WooCommerce plugin

This article describes how to install the WooCommerce plugin for WordPress. WooCommerce enables you to quickly and easily add a full-featured e-commerce store to a WordPress site.

WooCommerce is a WordPress plugin. You must install WordPress on your site before you can install WooCommerce.

Installing Woocommerce

To install the WooCommerce plugin, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your WordPress site as the administrator.
  2. In the left-hand pane, click Plugins.
  3. Click Add New.
  4. In the Search text box, type woocommerce, and then click Search Plugins.
  5. In the Name column, locate WooCommerce - excelling eCommerce, and then click Install Now.
  6.  Click OK to confirm the installation.
  7. After WordPress finishes installing the plugin, click Activate Plugin. WordPress adds a WooCommerce option to the administration menu in the left-hand pane.


CONFIGURING WOOCOMMERCE

After you install the WooCommerce plugin, you can configure your store. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your WordPress site as the administrator.
  2. In the left-hand pane, click WooCommerce, and then click Settings.
  3. Select the settings you want, and then click Save changes.
