You’re trying to open a website. It’s not loading. The first question is always: is the site really down, or is it just your internet?
That’s what this tool answers.
Is it Down? checks the status of any public website. It pings the site from multiple locations and shows you if it’s reachable. If the tool can access the site but you can’t, the issue is on your end — local network, browser, DNS, or device. If it can’t reach it either, the site is down for everyone.
How It Works
- Enter any website URL (like
example.com
) - The tool sends a request from our servers
- It reports back:
- Up: The site is accessible
- Down: The site is not responding
- Timeout/Error: Server is unreachable, might be overloaded or offline
Why Use It?
- Confirm outages before contacting support
- Check if DNS issues or ISP filters are blocking access
- Quickly rule out browser or local device problems
What It Doesn’t Do
- It doesn’t fix site issues — it only checks status
- It won’t test login pages, admin panels, or intranet sites behind firewalls
- It won’t monitor uptime — it’s for one-time checks only
